We are pleased to display paintings by artist Gail Simon, who is regarded by her contemporaries as an avant garde impressionist. Gail’s ability to deliver a story through images on canvas was a technique she learned from her father, writer/artist Joe Simon, who is most widely recognized as the creator of Captain America.

After growing up on Long Island, Gail moved to upstate New York where she continues to paint the coastline scenery familiar to her from her youth, combined with the rolling hills, lakes and vineyards which characterize the Finger lakes region.

Gail's ability to capture the essence of her subject’s emotion while placing them in a captivating environment makes each painting interesting and thought-provoking while beautiful.

Gail teaches painting and is available for special commission assignments of your favorite photograph.
